Crime: Miami Versus Chicago

When I moved to Miami a year ago from Chicago, I was a little disheartened, because Chicago had been my muse and my inspiration for so much of my fiction, much of it centered on crime. Chicago can be a wonderful place, but it can also be fickle, mean, cold, and moody, much like the Great Lake that lies along its eastern border. With a history of serial killers like John Wayne Gacy, Larry Eyler, and nearby Milwaukee’s Jeffrey Dahmer, Chicago must have had something to nurture and cause such…

Rick, IM looks crazy-interesting--I'll check it out. I hope you'll take a peek at my work too. I think Chalice's a blast, and hope you will as well. Sorry for the late reply; been traveling for business. Looking forward to lots of great chatter.

I think I'm already on here - I get befuddled. I'll try to be a bit more active, was really snowed under for a bit, plus the bronchial infection from hell - but like the Phoenix, I rise again.

Hey, Rick - Your books sound great. I like supernatural books and have been wanting to try more real horror ones. Phil Rickman is probably my favorite of the lighter horror I've read. When I finally tried a Dean Koontz book, Odd Thomas, I thought it was fantastic for the first couple of chapters. Even before anything bad happened, he had freaked me out so much, I was too scared to keep reading. :) Now, THAT's a good horror writer. :) Good to see you here.

Hi, Rick:

What took you so long to show up here? And how/where did you find how to create the Crimespace Box of your covers? They didn't have it when I joined.

Anyway, good to see you here...or anywhere.

Rick,
I was interested to watch the trailer, since I'm trying to get ideas for my own. Very impressive!
