CRIMINAL MINDS

Anyone else here at Crimespace addicted to television's CRIMINAL MINDS? I love that show and have seen every episode at least once. It inspires me to write devious plots and horrible villains.

Happy writing!

Paying it forward

So many writers have mentored me along my path to publication. I still have much room for improvement and a long way to go, but this past week I discovered something. I also have something to offer! Now it's my turn to guide and inspire beginning writers.

I had the privilege of working with 21 brave souls who'd submitted manuscripts for intense critiquing at the Southeastern Writers Conference (an event I strongly recommend to all…

Early Endorsements for “A Circle of Souls”

Linda Fairstein, NYT Bestselling Author: "A fascinating debut - this novel takes the reader to the darkest places in the human soul, from a writer with the authenticity to lead us there. A stunning thriller and an important read."

Judge Judy Sheindlin, star of the Judge Judy Show: "The seminal work of this fine author kept me glued to my chair until the adventure was over and the mystery solved. A great read!"

Book Synopsis:

The sleepy town of Newbury, Connecticut, is shocked when a little girl is found brutally murdered. The town s top detective, perplexed by a complete lack of leads, calls in FBI agent Leia Bines, an expert in cases involving children.

Meanwhile, Dr. Peter Gram, a psychiatrist at Newbury s hospital, searches desperately for the cause of seven-year-old Naya Hastings devastating nightmares. Afraid that she might hurt herself in the midst of a torturous episode, Naya s parents have turned to the bright young doctor as their only hope.

The situations confronting Leia and Peter converge when Naya begins drawing chilling images of murder after being bombarded by the disturbing images in her dreams. Amazingly, her sketches are the only clues to the crime that has panicked Newbury residents. Against her better judgment, Leia explores the clues in Naya s crude drawings, only to set off an alarming chain of events.
In this stunning psychological thriller, innocence gives way to evil, and trust lies forgotten in a web of deceit, fear, and murder.

Hey sweet friend! Just wanted to wish you a blessed Labor Day weekend. I'll be busy editing on the novel I'm co-authoring. Gosh...we had SO much to learn - and still do. I noticed your comment about the Grammar Cop. I'll definitely check that out!
Hugs,
Jeannie

Broad selection of authors: from almost cozy, to almost hardboiled. A good range to be in.

Cheryl,
The M&M conference was a lot of fun. I left a blog on my page, but I'm new at this blogging thing...lol.
I checked out the page for First Coast Writers. I lived in Jax with the USN for about nine years.

Charlotte,
Drake Springs is all in my head. **gg** It's an imaginary town in an imaginary county (Foster) where I'm setting a series of books, starting with RECLAIM MY LIFE.

Cheryl,
Where is Drake Springs, Florida? I live in the Southwest part of Florida, near Naples. I'm glad to find another RV lover. Ww have a fifth-wheel, and absolutely love to go camping. We did like to go boating, also, but Hurricane Charlie demolished our boat, and the insurance company didn't give us enough money to replace it.
So you write romantic suspense? How often does your publisher require you to submit a new novel?
I like Sue Grafton, too. I'm reading: Q is for Quarry.
